You may well have spotted that today's subject is also well spotted!! 😉😄 These generally solitary lightweight speedsters are daytime hunters, and can hit 100 kph in just a few seconds. ⏱️ They can even reach speeds approaching 125 kph in bursts of up to 500 metres!! To the Ancient Egyptians, the cheetah symbolised power and refinement and were considered pets fit for gods, including living gods - the pharaohs themselves. So, you may not want to play cards with them, but I'm sure it will be fun, and maybe even interesting, to spend a bit of time today with some fabulous cheetahs!! 😻🐆🐆🐆😺 There's no obligation to post images, the only thing we hope you do is have fun.

This Caturday, we're going to focus on the majestic jaguars! They're the largest cat in the Americas, and are the third largest feline in the world, sitting behind the tiger and lion in size....but their powerful jaws mean they have the strongest bite force of all the big cats. Melanistic jaguars share the honour with their black leopard counterparts of being the only two species to produce 'black panthers', and they're also different to many other feline species in that they love water!
